We know sometimes there is no such thing as a standard install. With so many variations of assemblies and unique, in field situations; sometimes a custom cage might be just what you need.
The most common needs for a custom cage are extra-large sizes, special utility cut outs, wall enclosures, unique angles and footprints or specific colors.
For 25 years we have been making custom cages out of various metals, different spec materials and in every color imaginable.
Just let us know what you are covering and what you need.
All our powder coated enclosures are professionally primed and powder coated and come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
We can manufacture enclosures of most any size or shape and in a wide variety of materials, features and color options.
Cut Outs
Custom cut outs in our enclosures allow for water, electrical, gas etc. pipes to run outside of the enclosure itself, even for large ductile iron pipe.
These can be added to any side of the cage it is needed and in any sizes holes.
Our manufactured cutouts are more professional than in field customization that can leave dangerous sharp edges, encourage rust to form as well as being unsightly.
Hinged Doors
When you want to leave an enclosure in place but occasionally need top or side access, we can install hinged doors in the cage. These can be designed to swing out or up and usually have handles and locking points on the doors. This is particularly useful when a cage is very large and removing it is more difficult.
Wall Enclosures
Sometimes an asset you wish to cover is to close to the building’s wall to allow a standard rounded enclosure to be installed. Wall enclosures have no backside and are designed to install up flush to the wall. They usually have locking points that mount into a concrete pad poured on the ground though they can be attached to the wall itself also if needed. Custom cut outs can of course be added to these as well.
If a large wall enclosure is needed we can also install hinges on the front side to mitigate the weight of removing the enclosure for service.
Custom Purpose
Dual Locking Enclosure. This was made for a property management company who wished to have two unique and separate locks on the cage. One for the Maintenance Manager and one for the property owner. It has a hinged gate and hinged body allowing for the entire cage to open and is shown on a setter which is installed directly into wet concrete.
Custom Purpose
Solar Panel Protection. This large enclosure was constructed to protect a customer’s solar paneled equipment. The amount of light able to pass through the enclosure to the solar panels was an important concern. We used 2”x 2” open wire instead of standard expanded metal to allow light inside, mostly unobstructed.
Custom Color
Custom colors can help identify your valves purpose or be chosen to compliment and blend in with your building. This enclosure has been powder coated purple to alert that this valve is used for Reclaimed Water. We can of course, customize your enclosure to almost any color imaginable.
Do you need a custom? Enter your dimensions below to find out if we already have a standard enclosure that will work for the size you need.

CAD Design Process
We are always happy to design and quote a new custom cage for you.
Once you have told us about the asset you intend to secure and have given us the dimensions, special requirements or other specs, we will draw up a CAD drawing of the custom cage.
The CAD drawing will list all pertinent information such as dimensions, color, cut outs or other special features for your approval.
This will help you visualize what we are proposing so we are both on the same page. All Custom enclosure require a signed approval before construction is begins.
