High Security Steel Enclosure
The HGS Models are all Hinged Enclosures that offer significate upgrades over other cage lines. They all have GuardShack’s signature rounded design, providing superior strength and safety without any sharp corners. They have hinged gates and hinged bodies which allow for full access to the internal dimensions, eliminating any clearance obstacles & allowing smaller cages to be used for the same install. The HGS cages are the best option if extra security is desired.
The Guardshack HGS Series has one locking point with an improved LockShield Bracket design. It is also designed to optionally be used with our concrete setter which allows for a fast efficient install and superior structural integrity.
These cages are made in Phoenix, AZ and are always constructed of strong 1¼"" Schedule 40 pipe (never tubing), ½"" #13 gauge expanded metal and meticulously welded every 4 inches and exceeds ASSE Structural Strength Standards (see full specs for more information).
They are professionally powder coated to exacting standards for lasting durability, in environmentally friendly premium finishes. Standard colors for these models are in high gloss Woodland Tan & Forest Green which blend into most any landscaping. Custom colors are available, please consult factory.

The all hinged HGS models have several upgrades that provide the highest level of security available.
The optional setter allows the cage to be installed directly into wet concrete. Once the concrete has hardened, this cage isn't going anywhere! The Setter also is a big-time saver for contractors as it allows the cage to be installed on the protruding screws of the sunken setter and allows the contractor to leave the jobsite before the concrete has completely dried. Using the setter additionally allows the cage to hug closely to the concrete leaving only a 3/8 inch gap between the concrete pad and cage to resist prying open.
All mounting points on the HGS models are internal and cannot be accessed unless the cage is open.
The enhanced lock shield bracket on the HGS Series was designed to protect more styles of locks from bolt cutters. The design of this cage also allows for only one lock to be used instead of two.

Our custom made heavy duty hinges are cut from 3/16” steel plate and utilize a stainless steel bolt to prevent them from rusting. They have hidden anchor point. preventing tampering, so they are not exposed on the outside of the cage.
These hinges allow the entire cage to swing back, mitigating the weight of larger cages while allowing complete access to the backflow valve they are covering.

All our enclosures are professionally powder coated to exacting standards for lasting durability, in environmentally friendly premium finishes. Premium powder coating begins with a five-part metal cleaning and iron phosphate solution treatment. Units are further preheated before applying 2-3 millimeter thick polyester powder conforming to A.S.T.M. Impact Resistant and Adhesive specifications.

Quality Materials & Workmanship
The Guardshack series is constructed using stout 1 ¼” Schedule 40 A.S.T.M. Grade A Electric Weld steel pipe. Other competitors use lighter, cheaper tubing which is easily dented and damaged in transit and in the field.
We use sturdy ½” #13 gauge expanded metal allowing our cages to pass lab tests that exceed 300 lbs of weight per square Foot
All welds are meticulously placed at least every 4 inches making our cages exceed ASSE 1060-98 Structural Strength Standards.
Welds, rough spots & edges are carefully ground down leaving a smooth to the touch enclosures with never any sharp edges.
